Setup Guide for Convbox Analytics
Prerequisites:
1. For Stores Already Subscribed to Convbox Tracking
If your store has an active Convbox Tracking subscription:
Go to the Convbox Tracking app and navigate to Pricing Plan (top-right corner).
Switch to the Convbox Analytics option at the top of the page.
Select and subscribe to the appropriate plan.
After subscription, proceed directly to Step 4.


2.For Stores Without Convbox Tracking
If Convbox Tracking is not installed, start from Step 1.
Step 1: Install Convbox Analytics App
Visit the Shopify App Store.
Search for Convbox Analytics.
Install the Convbox Analytics App.
Step 2: Provide Contact Details
Enter/verify the following information (partially auto-filled from your Shopify account):
First Name
Last Name
Contact Email
Business Type
Your Position

Step 3:Subscribe to Convbox Analytics plan
Choose a plan tier based on your monthly revenue:
Click “Choose Plan” for your selected tier.
Click “Continue” at the bottom of the page.
Complete payment via the redirected checkout page.

Step 4: Install Convbox Analytics App
In this step, click the "Connect to Shopify" button, which will direct you to Shopify's app installation confirmation page. You just need to confirm according to the prompts.
Note:Skip this step if already installed the app in Step 1.

Step 5: Install Convbox Analytics Pixel
Answer three configuration questions during Pixel setup, then click "Save & Get Setup Guide" for customized instructions."

For Standard Shopify Stores: Enable App Extensions
Click "Go to Shopify" to navigate to the App Extensions page.
Click "Save" in the top-right corner.
Return to Convbox to verify activation. The "Next" button will turn active upon successful setup.

For Headless Architecture Stores: Install Headless Code
Copy and share the provided installation guide with your developer.
After code deployment, click "Check Installation" to verify.
Note: Skipping this step will trigger a final verification later. Full functionality requires successful code detection.

Step 6: Media Account Authorization & Ad Account Linking
Authorize and link ad accounts for supported platforms:
TikTok
Bing
Example for Facebook Ads:
Click “Connect” under Facebook Ads.
Grant all permissions (Business Manager, Pages, etc.) during authorization.
Select all ad accounts used for your store’s campaigns.
Note: Please be sure to check all advertising accounts that drive traffic to your store. Otherwise, Convbox Analytics will not be able to correctly synchronize the conversion data of the media advertising background.

In addition, if you are using any EDM platform such as Omnisend, Klaviyo, or Mailchimp, you can configure the corresponding API Key to complete the integration of the EDM platform.

Step 7: Configure UTM Tracking
For the accuracy of Convbox Analytics reports, you need to set the ad tracking parameters according to the UTM templates we provide. Convbox provides UTM templates for multiple channels, which you can use directly.
Click the "Other Platforms & Tools" option, and you can generate different types of tracking links under the three categories of Influencer, Social, and PR/Blogs.
Under the Generic category, you can generate tracking links at will.

Step 8: Install Post-Purchase Survey
In this step, you can follow the instructions to install Convbox's built-in survey tool. The real customer feedback collected through the survey tool can further improve the attribution results. For detailed installation instructions, please refer to the operation instructions: How to install and activate Convbox Post-Purchase Survey
You can also skip this step and make corresponding settings in the "Post Purchase Survey" menu of Convbox Analytics later.
