How to set up a comparative test in Omnisend to measure the effectiveness of server-side events sent through OmniTrack Plus

In Omnisend, you can measure the effectiveness of server-side events sent through OmniTrack Plus by creating two segments and comparing the number of contacts in each. Here are the detailed steps:

Scenario 1: Comparing the effectiveness of the AddToCart event

1.Open the Omnisend APP and click on "Audience" in the menu. Select "Segment" and then click the "Create Segment" button in the upper right corner to enter the creation page.

2.Use a pre-built template to create a segment. Choose the template as shown in the image and click the "Create Segment" button. This will create a segment based on Omnisend's own AddToCart event. Rename it to "Add to Cart - Legacy Event" to complete the configuration.

3.Return to the Segment list page, click on the newly created segment, and select the "Copy" option. Rename it to "Add To Cart-Combined."

4.Edit the rules of the copied segment by clicking on the title to enter the details page. Modify the segment settings according to the rules shown in the image, and then click the "Update Segment" button.

5.After running for some time online, you can compare the number of contacts in these two segments. Ideally, the "Add To Cart-Combined" segment should have collected more than 20% additional users compared to the "Add to Cart - Legacy Event" segment.

By following these steps, you can easily create and compare two different segments to evaluate the effectiveness of the AddToCart event.

Scenario 2: Comparing the effectiveness of the InitiateCheckout event

Similarly, you can evaluate the effectiveness of the InitiateCheckout event by creating two segments.

1.Open the Omnisend APP and click on "Audience" in the menu. Select "Segment" and then click the "Create Segment" button to enter the creation page.

2.Use a pre-built template to create a segment. Choose the template as shown in the image and click the "Create Segment" button. This will create a segment based on Omnisend's own InitiateCheckout event. Rename it to "Started Checkout - Legacy Event" to complete the configuration.

3.Copy this segment and name it "Started Checkout - Combined."

4.Edit the rules of the newly copied segment by clicking on the title to enter the details page. Modify the segment settings according to the rules shown in the image, and then click the "Update Segment" button.

By following these steps, you can create two different segments to evaluate the effectiveness of the InitiateCheckout event.
