Creative Compass User Guide

Creative Compass is a creative analysis tool consisting of three modules: Dashboard, Scoreboard, and Trends.

I. Dashboard

1.1 Use Cases

The Dashboard module helps analyze creative data based on your own strategic logic.

Here are typical scenarios:

  • Compare ROAS performance among in-house creative materials, external KOL content, and user-generated content.
  • Analyze the impact of subtitles on video viewing effects and quantify the proportion of influence.
  • Evaluate conversion rates across different scenarios (e.g., unboxing videos, living room demos, bedroom demos).
  • Study how light vs. dark color schemes affect final ROAS.
  • Identify top-performing creator accounts by conversion rate and ROAS.

Action Logic: Tag materials/ads (e.g., Inhouse, KOL, UGC, With Subtitles) to enable multi-dimensional comparisons.

1.2 Functionality

Step 1: Tagging

1)Extract Tags from Names

If creative file names / ad names already include source/style labels (e.g., "image_16x9_iphone14_pink_Inhouse"), create tag rules:

Suppose you have ads like
"image_16x9_iphone14_pink_UGC",
"image_16x9_iphone14_white_UGC",
"image_16x9_iphone14_white_Unboxing".

To compare UGC and Unboxing ad data, tag ads by
"Ad Name contains UGC"
"Ad Name contains Unboxing"

To create a tag, click Compare by as shown in the interface. A side panel will appear where you can directly enter "Inhouse" and select "Ad Name contains Inhouse" to complete the tag creation.

2)Manual Tagging

For untagged names, go to the creative list in the Scoreboard module, click "Tagging" to add labels manually.

Step 2: Data Analysis

1)Bar Chart Comparison

After selecting tags, view overall data comparisons within a specified timeframe. The system provides benchmark values for metrics like CTR and ROAS based on your Facebook channel's store average.

2)Trend Graph Analysis

Track performance trends over time for each tag, using store average metrics as reference to assess creative performance changes.

II. Scoreboard

2.1 Use Cases

The Scoreboard module pinpoints individual creative performance, suitable for:

  • Sorting creatives by performance to quickly locate specific formats (e.g., 16:9 videos) for team review.
  • Tagging high-performing creatives with unique features for designers to reference in future creations.
  • Identifying low-performing, high-spend creatives to pause and optimize budgets.
  • Discovering long-lasting top performers to summarize characteristics for iterative improvements.
  • Drilling down into top-performing tags from Dashboard analysis to view granular creative data.

2.2 Functionality

1)Multi-Dimensional Filtering

Support filtering by creative types (e.g., Single Image, Carousel), formats, tags, and metrics (e.g., exclude creatives with Spent < $100).

2)Quadrant Analysis

The quadrant chart supports data visualization based on CTR * Spend and ROAS * Spend. The following diagram shows an example of ROAS * Spend performance.

  • Top-left: High ROAS, low spend → Scale up.
  • Top-right: High ROAS, high spend → Core Performers.
  • Bottom-left: Low ROAS, low spend → Optimize or monitor.
  • Bottom-right: Low ROAS, high spend → Pause immediately.

At the bottom is the detailed creative list, where you can sort by different metrics in ascending or descending order according to your needs.

3.1 Use Cases

The Trends module monitors creative performance trends to identify decay (e.g., weekly decline >20%). Take proactive actions: update cover images, expand audience targeting, enable dynamic creative optimization, etc.

3.2 Functionality

1)Trend Comparison Chart

Compare trends across multiple creatives and metrics (e.g., Spent, CPM, ROAS). The top-right filter supports narrowing by creative type, tags, or metrics.

2)Weekly Metric Comparison

The bottom table displays weekly changes for up to 5 metrics (e.g., ROAS, Sales, CPM), visualizing performance fluctuations.
